Scope of Care & Practice
Are you my primary care provider?
No. This is a specialty, direct-pay hormone and thyroid clinic. You must maintain a relationship with your own primary care provider for routine care, preventive screenings, vaccinations, acute illnesses, and emergencies.
Do you only see patients in Washington State?
We see patients in Washington State and in other states where the clinician is licensed or authorized to practice. Telehealth is available when medically appropriate, and patients must be physically located in a state where the provider is licensed at the time of the visit.
Do you only treat thyroid conditions?
No. While thyroid care is a major focus, treatment is designed around the full hormone and metabolic picture, not a single gland.
What conditions do you commonly treat?
Care commonly focuses on hormone-related and metabolic concerns, including:
-
Thyroid disorders and thyroid-related symptoms
-
PCOS and other hormonal or ovulatory imbalances
-
Perimenopause and menopause
-
Male hormone optimization and andropause
-
Cardiometabolic health and weight management
-
Blood sugar regulation and insulin resistance
-
Fertility concerns when hormones imbalance is a primary factor
Do you treat both men and women?
Yes. Care is provided for both men and women, with treatment tailored to each individual’s hormone and metabolic needs.
Appointments & Visits
Do I ever need to be seen in person?
Sometimes. Certain evaluations, safety considerations, or physical findings require an in-person visit.
Can my visits be done by video or phone?
Your first appointment must be face-to-face, either in person or via secure video (Zoom). After the initial visit, follow-up appointments may be conducted by video or phone when appropriate.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
The initial visit is a 120-minute comprehensive intake and report-of-findings visit. It includes:
-
Detailed review of your medical history
-
In-depth discussion of laboratory results
-
Clinical assessment and individualized treatment plan
-
Time to answer questions and outline clear next steps
Membership Program
Do you offer a membership program?
Yes. We offer a 12-month Hormone Optimization Membership designed around the realistic timeframe needed to evaluate, treat, and stabilize hormone and metabolic conditions.
What does the membership include?
-
Comprehensive intake labs
-
One 120-minute initial visit
-
Four quarterly follow-up visits
-
Four follow-up lab panels
-
Limited portal messaging for non-urgent questions
-
Member pricing on supplements
Is membership required?
No. Membership is optional. Care may also be provided on a visit-by-visit basis, but many patients prefer membership for continuity, planning, and predictable costs.
Insurance, Labs & Medications
Do you take insurance?
No. This is a direct-pay clinic. We do not bill insurance for visits, labs, or supplements.
Do you provide superbills?
No. We do not provide superbills or submit insurance claims. Patients receive a receipt for services rendered.
Can I use my insurance for labs or medications?
Sometimes — it depends on your insurance plan.
-
Some labs or medications may be covered
-
Coverage is entirely insurance-dependent and cannot be guaranteed
Because we offer deeply discounted cash-pay pricing, many patients find that cash pricing is equal to or less than their insurance responsibility, especially for labs.
How can I tell if my insurance will cover my labs?
You must contact your insurance company directly.
-
We provide a list of the labs being ordered
-
We do not provide ICD-10 or CPT codes
-
Insurance verification and coverage determination are the patient’s responsibility
Prescriptions & Prior Authorization
If my medication is run through insurance, do you handle prior authorizations?
Prior authorizations may be completed when appropriate, but may incur a small administrative fee due to the significant time involved.
Payments & Policies
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept:
-
Credit and debit cards
-
HSA and FSA cards (where allowed by law)
We prefer to keep a card on file to avoid delays or interruptions in care.
When is payment due?
Payment is due after the appointment or processed in accordance with membership terms.
What if I have an emergency?
This clinic does not provide emergency or urgent care.
If you experience severe or worsening symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
